Groupings help emphasize your direction, help you focus on an area by giving it “eye attraction”. This is what I call “Visual Value”. I love to take several similar items from a collection and group them for power. Clients often time do not know that the things that they may have collected over the years have similar attributes, which can be used to their advantage by grouping them.
What should you collect? Anything that has that ‘it factor” for you. Something that makes you want to look for more even after you have a dozen. Collections are about passion….the hunt for special things. This is what makes a room personal and intimate. Collections let the visitor travel inside your head, letting them know what you are about.
